Happy New Year everyone. I for one am hoping it's a productive 2017!
Thank you so much for all your wonderful entries to December's inaugural Flash Fiction Challenge.
And whilst I get on and read those and go about picking a winner, I thought I'd put up a short post to announce the new DOTTY Flash Fiction Challenge for January. The quote is actually taken from a new piece of fiction I'm working on, the working title of which is 'The Faraway Far Candy Bazzar'. It's not going to be out for a little while, so January's prizewinner can have their choice of DOTTY books, signed by me, in addition to the chance to appear in the DOTTY Flash Fiction Annual, to be published December 2017. The quote is as follows:
"Xavier sighed irritably, glaring through the window at the drizzly London afternoon. He picked at a stubborn piece of dirt that was stalwartly refusing to budge from beneath his fingernail, and tutted just a little too loudly."
I hope the quote inspires you to write some great flash fiction this month. Remember, the quote must appear somewhere in your story, whether at the beginning, in the middle or at the end.
Happy writing - can't wait to read your stories!
